In 1971, Steve Kerr’s father supported him a lot in basketball. His father was a professor in Middle East history and politics at UCLA. Steve Kerr finished his high school without a scholarship but Arizona offered him a scholarship and did not hesitate to accept it. When he was in college, his family went and joined their dad in Beirut. His dad left UCLA before Steve graduated his high school and became the president of the American University in Beirut. It was bad for the American citizens to live in Beirut. Steve’s father was shot in the head by the two gunmen pretending to be a student. Basketball was the only way Steve would forget everything so he threw himself more in basketball until he became a part of the NBA.
In June 1997, the Bulls automatically made it to their fifth finals in seven years after a 69-win regular season. They were matched against the Utah Jazz who were building up their first NBA finals appearance. The night before their 5th game Michael was in Marriott together with George, Tim, and a couple of his security guards. They were all hanging out in Michael’s room and it was around 10:30 at night when Michael got hungry and ordered a pizza. When the pizza came, there were four or five guys who delivered the pizza outside Michael’s door. Michael was the only one who ate the whole pizza. He woke up at 2:30 am and puked a lot, it was then found out that Michael was food poisoned. No matter how sick he was, he still got this gut of him to stand up and be the best player around the world.

Michael Jordan physically attacked Reggie Miller because he got pissed when Reggie smacked him first. Before, Reggie respected Michael Jordan a lot but according to him Michael was one of the best trash talkers in their game. November 14, 1987, it’s Reggie’s rookie year and they’re playing against the Chicago Bulls, Reggie got a total of 10 points and Michael did not really shoot the ball great. Reggie told Michael, “Yeah, you’re Michael Jordan, the guy who walks on water?”. After that trash talk from Reggie, Michael showed who he really was and scored a lot more than Reggie and walked off the court like he was saying to Reggie that “Don’t ever talk trash to Black Jesus”.
Michael was very close to his security guards especially the head of his security, Gus. He treated Gus like his second father. Gus became Michael’s security guard when Michael got injured and he befriended him and made sure Michael was fine. Michael saw how Gus was so dedicated to his job. Every time Michael would cry remembering his father being killed, Gus would be there for him anytime. Michael was the first one who noticed that Gus was sick so he recommended to get him into the hospital and have some tests. The result came out and it turned out that Gus had lung cancer. Gus became an inspiration for Michael and in return, Michael wanted to win the game for him and so he did.
