He played with The Talent Factory (TSF) in Atlanta at a young age of 17-year-old which scales 2.18m (7ft 2in) as he aimed to get closer to his NBA dream.
He was designated to the first five at the Hargrave Military Challenge in Virginia thanks to 24.6 points, 10 boards and 3.6 assists per game in a two-day affair. The presentation apparently prompted an invitation from the University of Georgia, which was the latest in a list of highly invested colleges in Sotto’s services.
“I’m just focused on myself and my improvement every single day and just trying my best to be where I want to be in the future.” – Kai Sotto, Center of the NBA G League Ignite

At the Metro Classic, the Filipino sensation, 7’2 ‘Kai Sotto, had another major score. He ended with 22 points, including 7 dunks. As seen in the video, Kai is not a selfish player. When holding the ball, he has a really cool vision, resulting in a smart pass and clever tactics. Sotto likes to fake his throw, which is a smart technique to confuse the opponent and build a route to head straight to the basket. With his performance, he impressed a lot of people and coaches. Some of it was heard behind the camera saying he’s a good player. Sotto stands out with The Skill Factory (TSF) conquering the score of 89 against Lakewood – 45 points.

Kai Sotto – 34 points, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 4 steals.
He was in outstanding form to lead his team to a decisive win at the King Invitational in Atlanta, averaging an impressive game statistics and snatching the MVP trophy. The opponent couldn’t handle Sotto’s raging blocks and rebounds, thus as he tried to score another point he was punched in the face by his opponent. Sotto’s performance was like an unleashed beast on the court, making his opponents underestimated and upsetting them to see the unstoppable points and rebounds of Kai. And the only way to stop the beast is for him to get hurt, but as mentioned, Sotto is unstoppable once he steps into the court.

He may appear to have sluggish endurance, but he has this potential to build a huge and amazing ability that no one has ever seen once you join them together. Coach Shaw, G League Ignite’s head coach, is working on Sotto’s agility and continuing improving his skills and physical body.

“Kai has a great attitude about training. He is a gym rat. He loves finding out information to apply to his game to help him improve. Kai is very enjoyable to work with,” Johnson said to the Olympic Channel
When he steps into the United States of America for his training and planning, Sotto’s body has a slim frame. His handlers have also established some scientific diet and exercise that will help him develop more muscles, but will not impede his mobility. Despite his weakness in his physical frame, he is incredibly unique. He has this ability that he can cope with the “big guys” no matter how big their muscles and strengths compared to Sotto, he will always stand out proving that he can do better than anyone else.

“I just work hard, I just listen to the people around me and it’s become easier.” – Sotto
Sotto matched up with the Kenyan-Australian college basketball center player of the Howard Bison at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Makur Maker. The center player of the Howard Bison has the height of 6-foot-11 and a weight of 107 kg. Obviously, Sotto has the biggest height advantage, but not physically. But for the big man, Kai Sotto, this won’t be a hindrance.
It’s true, Kai Sotto is a guy in demand as he was able to draw the attention of the NBA scouts during his match-up game with the Ciba held at the Tark Classic. His height is the clear jumping off point, but he has both a surprising versatility and a good passing vision. At least seven colleges are projected to be involved in Sotto. But he decided to skip college for his dream, to be an NBA player. As Sotto heats up on the court, he was scouted to be a player of the NBA G League Ignite Team together with the other top prospects.
