What’s up Ballers, Discodad is here again with you! It’s a very good day to hear that Jalen Green is one of the top prospects in the NBA. There is no doubt that Jalen will not be drafted, imagine how talented that kid is! As his fan says, he is a “unicorn”, flying endlessly on the court and slamming the basket like he never did it before.

Jalen Green was the highest-ranked recruit in high school entering this season, and he has lived up to the standards in several aspects. Green made a strong impression during his time at the G-League Ignite. He is one of the best athletes in the Draft and his versatility places him in first line for the overall pick. The G-League was an interesting developmental climate for Green. He has the opportunity to compete against true professionals with built bodies and a determination to make their way into the NBA. Green’s ability to score against the skilled defenders was remarkable, demonstrating his possible floor in the NBA as a volume shooter.

The ability to build effective offense for yourself and others is the most valuable skill for any NBA player to have. The top scorers in the league are usually the best players in the league like Zach LaVine, James Harden, Bradley Beal to name the few best shooting guards. Jalen Green is the group’s most solid scorer. His mixture of shooting, footwork, and athleticism allows him to be powerful on and off the court. He has to focus on his handle a little more, but he has an outstanding mid-range footwork, which is a solid foundation to build on. Green scored 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals a game while playing for the Ignite in this season’s G League bubble, shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from 3. He capped off his first pro season with a smash, scoring 30 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and three steals in the Ignite’s only playoff game.

Green is a versatile scorer who can get to the basket in a myriad of areas. He’s a relaxed dribbler with a keen eye for generating space, especially with his step-back jumper. In every sense of the word, he’s a shot maker. Green can score from all three stages, act as a pick-and-roll ball handler, and has improved as an off-ball scorer, slithering between defenses to create looks. Although his playmaking skills could also be improved, he showed signs of improvement as a passer this season.

Jalen Green is not well-known since he did not play in college, but he is a name that NBA fans would recognize. A player will not be strong if weaknesses are not present in their game. It’s difficult to find a flaw in Green’s game, particularly given how good it is. His height, though, is a concern. He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 180 pounds, which is small for an NBA player physical standard. Questions over his height could be the only thing keeping teams from pursuing him. Those, though, are not the true points. But despite the downfall of his height, he is still 19 years old. He will become taller, tougher, and improved at every aspect of the game, which will be a frightening sight for the opposition teams.
